The latest data tracking fall injuries, incidents, and fatalities are shared here.
Falls are the leading cause of death in construction, and workers are more likely to die from falls today than they were ten years ago.
In 2022, more than one construction worker per day – 397 workers – died as a result of a fall to lower level. Between 2011 and 2022, the rate of fatal falls to a lower level in construction increased by 13%. Read more about falls in CPWR’s March 2023 Data Bulletin (English).
Data shared on this page underscore how important it is to take action to prevent falls. Fall prevention saves lives.
