In conjunction with the Campaign to Prevent Falls from Construction, OSHA is partnering with industry and community partners to lead “stand-downs” to raise awareness about falls in construction.

Last week, OSHA, the Builders Association, Construction Safety Council, the Chicago Area Laborers-Employers Cooperation and Education Trust, construction contractors and other safety and health organizations sponsored numerous 30-minute safety stand downs at construction sites throughout the Chicago area. From June 24 to July 3, OSHA’s Region II is inviting the construction industry to participate in a voluntary “Falls in Construction” Stand-Down.
