On Wednesday, November 6th 2013, in Alabama, Jeremy Bethancourt will be speaking on the campaign at the Southeast Mine Safety and Health Conference. His presentation, called Fall Protection A Moral Choice, Plan Provide Train will begin at 8:45 AM. His description of his talk:

Regardless of what industry you are in, providing fall protection to workers is not just a legal requirement of doing business it is a moral obligation. My presentation is less about actual solutions than it is on the journey to provide solutions and thereby protect workers. It is about me showing our methodology of discovery, implementation, and success. I have found through personal experience that just because the industry does not know about solutions does not mean there aren’t any available. Since gravity is fairly consistent, no matter where you work, the thought process for coming up with fall prevention/protection solutions can and should be equally consistent. My organizations experience is proof that all anyone has to do is look and have the perseverance to continue striving for worker safety in spite of adversity.
