Safety stand-downs stand up for protecting construction workers from falls

In conjunction with the Campaign to Prevent Falls from Construction, OSHA is partnering with industry and community partners to lead “stand-downs” to raise awareness about falls in construction. From OSHA’s QuickTakes: Last week, OSHA, the Builders Association, Construction Safety Council, the Chicago Area Laborers-Employers Cooperation and Education Trust, construction contractors and other safety and health organizations sponsored numerous 30-minute safety stand downs at construction sites throughout the Chicago area. ACTA Safety Two Week Training Initiative in the Greater Phoenix, AZ area

ACTA Safety has begun a two week training initiative in the Phoenix, AZ area. They hope to reach at least 100 workers by the end of the week, educating workers on both the dangers of falls and heat awareness, with training materials being provided in both English and Spanish. The training is at various Maracay Homes Communities in the Phoenix, AZ area. The training began this morning, June 4th.
